At the swearing-in ceremony, the Dean of Students, Dr. Ike Tandoh, charged the executives to lead with humility, service, and balance, emphasising the importance of listening to both university management and the student body. “As leaders, you must listen to management and also listen to the students. That is how you bring both sides together and lead us to the promised land,” he stated.

SRC President Delivering His Inaugural Address
In his inaugural address, President Moses Desire Kouyo highlighted the weight of leadership and the responsibility that comes with being entrusted to lead. “Being first comes with responsibility, and that responsibility must never be lost on us. When you are first, you are entrusted to do things differently,” he said. He also called on students to embrace patience and collective effort in building a stronger SRC. “We are pacesetters. You must understand that Rome was not built in a day, but every day they built one block at a time, one stone at a time,” he noted.
Reinforcing the spirit of servant leadership, Dr. Tandoh concluded with a call to service. “Serve, for there is blessing in service. God served, Jesus served, so you must also serve,” he advised.
The ceremony ended with the votes of thanks delivered by the General Secretary, Thomas Amankwah Fosuhene, who expressed appreciation to the university management, the Electoral Committee, students, and all stakeholders whose efforts contributed to a peaceful and successful election and swearing-in ceremony.
