The institute’s Broadcast journalism team won the maiden inter-tertiary media and information literacy quiz organized by the School of Information and Communication Studies of the University of Ghana in October. The event, organized ahead of the 2020 elections, was to create awareness on the spread of fake news on the internet, especially during election time. The NAFTI contingent whipped graduate students from the University of Ghana, Legon and their undergraduate counterparts from the Ghana Institute of Journalism (GIJ), African University College of Communications (AUCC), University of Professional Studies, Accra (UPSA), Wisconsin University College among others.
